In Memory of SFC Allen C. Johnson

 


SFC Allen C. Johnson, 31, a native of Los Molinos, California, was killed April 26, 2005, near the town of Khanaquin, Afghanistan when his patrol was attacked by enemy small arms fire.  He was assigned to the Army's 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

 

He graduated from the Los Molinos High School in northern California in 1991.  While attending high school he was involved in football and track.

Johnson joined the Army in 1991 as an infantryman and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Lewis, Washington.  In 1996 he served as a corrections specialist at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and then as a military policeman with the 704th Military Police Battalion at Fort Lewis, Washington in 1998.  In 2000 Johnson entered Special Forces training and became a Special Forces medic.

He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Combat Medical Badge.

Johnson is survived by his wife and three children - Stacy, Joshua, and Naomi.  His wife is in the army and was deployed to Iraq at the time of his death.  She left Iraq and accompanied her husband's remains home from Germany.
