Notes on Operation Anaconda

Operation Anaconda took place in March 2002 in Afghanistan in the Shahi-kot Valley of Paktia Province.  This valley is located in between Gardez and Khost.  The operation was designed to take on and destroy Taliban insurgents.  See an account of Operation Anaconda by Wikipedia.
